VIDEO: ARSENAL V UNITED – THE PREMIER LEAGUE ERA’S MOST ENDURING RIVALRY

Manchester United and Arsenal have shared the most enduring rivalry in the Barclays Premier League era when it comes to competing for silverware.

The two clubs sit atop the overall table for their records in the league and have had some tumultuous battles in the past. United have unquestionably been the dominant force since 1992, winning the trophy 13 times, but the Londoners have been genuine foes in this period.

In the FA Cup, both sides have enjoyed success with the Gunners emerging victorious at Old Trafford last season in the quarter-finals and going on to overtake United’s tally of lifting the trophy 11 times and becoming the all-time record holders.

There have been great names and intense personal clashes – Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira, Peter Schmeichel and Ian Wright plus Cristiano Ronaldo and Ashley Cole to name but a few. Ruud van Nistelrooy, Thierry Henry, Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and Marc Overmars have been key protagonists but which players will emerge as the central characters this time around?

Watch our exclusive video as we pay tribute to the rivalry between the clubs over the years and eagerly anticipate the latest chapter in this exciting soap opera.
